PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent deformation of door bodies occurring with age by effectively preventing strain of the door bodies due to warpage of vertical frames. SOLUTION: This wooden Buddhist altar is provided with an outer door 2 consisting of door bodies 3 vertically divided into four bodies. The four door bodies 3 are formed into two sets of door units 2A by foldably connecting two bodies together respectively and are so connected as to be opened/closed in the left/right of the Buddhist altar body 1. Each door body 3 is so formed that plate materials 7 vertically divided into a plurality of pieces are fixed inside a wooden frame 4 formed by connecting wooden vertical frames 5 and lateral frames 6 into a vertically elongate rectangle, intermediate frames 8 are provided between the divided plate materials 7, and the both ends of the intermediate frames 8 are fixed to the vertical frames 5. The inside surrounded with the vertical frames 5, the lateral frames 6 and the intermediate frames 8 has fit-in grooves and the outer circumferential edge parts 13 of the plate materials are fitted therein. An elastic body 15 is disposed between the end face 13A of the outer circumferential part 13 of the plate material to be inserted into the fit-in groove 12 and the base 12A of the fit-in groove 12, and the outer circumferential edge part 13 of the plate material 7 is pushed by the elastic body 15 to retain the plate material in a fixed position.
