A bicycle comprising a longitudinally extending frame (2), a front wheel (3) for steering disposed at the front of the frame, a rear wheel (4) disposed at the rear thereof, and auxiliary wheels (5) for assisting the traveling of the bicycle. The bicycle further comprises an auxiliary means (6) having first and second auxiliary supporting devices disposed on one side and the other side of the rear wheel. Each of the auxiliary supporting devices includes an arm (7) having one end pivotally supported on the frame and the other free end movable in the vertical direction, an auxiliary wheel (5) pivotally supported parallel with the rear wheel, an energizing means for energizing the arm in the rotating direction the auxiliary wheel moves downward, and an arm lock means securing the arm. The pair of arms can be rotated independently of each other, and the arm lock means can restrain the rotation of the arms and fix the vertical movement of the auxiliary wheels by their operation.
