PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device which improves detection accuracy of a light intensity sensor (light detection element) to achieve accurate detection of light intensity and intended light intensity emission, and assures reduced crosstalk and stable emission of light intensity. SOLUTION: A light-emitting device includes an electroluminescent element and a light detection element that detects light output from the electroluminescent element, the electroluminescent element and the light detection element being disposed to be laminated. The light detection element is formed using a thin-film transistor, and the thin-film transistor is formed to be shifted from a light emission region of the electroluminescent element.
