Reinforcement is provided along the curved upper edges (3) of the bag side walls. A filter bag (1) for filtering a liquid such as water or paint comprises two segment-shaped flexible walls which are joined together along their radial edges (2). Reinforcement is provided along the curved upper edges of these walls in order to keep the mouth of the bag open.
