An LCD device is provided to enable a user to control the intensity of backlight radiation by using a brightness control program or a DVR(Digital Variable Resistor) controlled by the brightness control program to vary the brightness of a screen easily, thereby providing a dynamic use environment to the user. A control board controls an image control signal and a brightness control signal. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel(400) displays an image according to the image control signal. A backlight(600) supplies light to display the image to the LCD panel. A backlight driving circuit(700) generates a dimming signal of which the voltage level is varied according to the brightness control signal, and supplies a dimming voltage, of which the pulse width is varied according to the dimming signal, to the backlight. |
