PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a useless consumption of power energy even in a long-time load test of a pulse power supply. SOLUTION: A charge voltage of a peaking capacitor Cp charged by a discharge pulse from the pulse power supply is transferred to capacitors C<SB>X1</SB>, C<SB>X2</SB>for a simulated load by saturation operation of a saturable reactor L<SB>X1</SB>, and the charging power of the capacitor C<SB>X1</SB>is reversed and charged by a reactor L<SB>3</SB>and a rectifier SOS after finish of transfer, and then the charging power of the capacitors C<SB>X1</SB>, C<SB>X2</SB>is transferred to a power accumulation capacitor C<SB>L</SB>through reactors L<SB>4</SB>, L<SB>2</SB>, and the DC power of the capacitor is converted into an alternating current by an invertor, and regenerated to the AC power supply side.
