<p>Intended is to provide a connecting terminal, which can be quickly designed and developed and which suppresses a temperature rise at an ON time. A standardized contact resistance value R<SUB>ter</SUB> of the connecting terminal is prepared by dividing the contact resistance value of the entire connecting terminal, which is the sum of the contact resistance value at the pressure-connected portion of a male terminal, the contact resistance value at the pressure-connected portion of a female terminal, and the contact resistance at the fitted portions of the male terminal and the female portion, by the length of the contact portions, which is the sum of the length of the pressure-connected portion of the male terminal, the length of the pressure-connected portion of the female terminal and the length of the fitted portions. In connection with the contact resistance value R<SUB>ter</SUB> thus prepared, the connecting terminal is made to satisfy relations of R<SUB>ter</SUB> < ?T/(752 X I<SUP>2</SUP>) - 3.7 x R<SUB>wire</SUB> among the linear resistance R<SUB>wire</SUB> of the electric wire, an ON current value I and an allowable rising temperature ?T indicating the rising temperature to the temperature regulation of the connecting terminal.</p> |
