PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film-coated steel panel for food can excellent in corrosion resistance in which a film applied on the can inner face side of the distortion printed film-coated steel panel is free from defects during molding and processing or treatment of retort. SOLUTION: A steel panel in which at least one side of the panel is coated with a polyester film, the polyester film for distortion printing of which X-ray refraction strength ratio is 3.5 to 5.0 as defined by the formula R=IA/IB (in which IA represents X-ray diffraction intensity ratio by a diffraction surface having a face interval of approx. 0.34 nm arranged in parallel with the polyester film surface, and IB represents X-ray diffraction intensity by a diffraction surface having a face interval of approx. 0.39 nm arranged in parallel with the polyester film surface). |
