<p>A method for monitoring environmental conditions within a shipping package includes generating a package shipment route and entering an environmental parameter corresponding to an exposure level beyond which a product, contained in the package, will perish. A wireless data monitor is inserted within the package, configured to monitor the environmental condition within the package along the shipment route, such that during shipment, the environmental data at the wireless data monitor; and during shipment, the collected environmental data is periodically transmitted to one or more wireless access points.</p> |
