<p>The roof cover (10) has two bearings fixed to the body on which a cover rod (12) is mounted to pivot between a closed cover position and a lowered position, a tensioning bar (24) connected to the rod and pivotable between a raised position and a lowered position in which it rests on a section of the body in a sealed manner and a locking device (26) for securing the tensioning bar in its lowered position. The locking device locks the tensioning bar in its closed position on the cover rod. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle with at least one internal combustion engine and a folding roof cover.</p>
