发明名称 MICROFILAMENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microfilament having slight content of a solvent and having relatively long average fiber length to average fiber diameter having nano meter size. SOLUTION: The microfilament is obtained by dispersing a fiber into a solvent, carrying out microfibrillation of the fiber by homogenizing treatment and drying the treated fiber at a temperature not higher than grass transition temperature of the fiber. The microfilament has (1) an average fiber length of 0.01-1 mm and (2) an average fiber diameter of 0.001-1μm and (3) a ratio (L/D) of average fiber length (L) to average fiber diameter of 1,000-10,000 (D). The microfilament may be composed of an organic fiber (especially a synthetic fiber such as aromatic polyamide-based fiber) composed of a thermoplastic resin, a thermosetting resin, etc. The microfilament is suitable as a fiber-reinforced filler, a binder, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
