<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Z-type ferrite sintered compact having high magnetic permeability at high frequency wave of about 1 GHz, and a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The hexagonal crystalline Z-type ferrite sintered compact has the degree of orientation (f) of ≥0.8 given by f=(P-PO)/(1-PO) (where, P=ΣI(001)/ΣI(hkl) and PO expresses the value of P in non-orientation), when the integrated intensity sum of all diffraction peaks of the hexagonal Z-type ferrite is defined as ΣI(hkl) and the integrated intensity sum of the diffraction peak of (001) plane is defined as ΣI(001) in an X-ray diffraction pattern in 2θ=20-80° measurement range and has 4.0-20.0 μm average crystalline diameter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
