摘要 A composition comprising valproic acid is provided to induce differentiation of multi-potent neural stem cells from embryonic cells to normal nerve cells and inhibit growth of mutant tumor cells, so that it is useful for inducing neuron differentiation without growth of mutant cancer cells. A composition for inducing differentiation of multi-potent neural stem cells comprises valproic acid(2-propyl-pentanoic acid) and bFGF(basic fibroblast growth factor) as effective ingredients, and is accompanied by growth inhibition of mutant cancer cells. The differentiation of multi-potent neural stem cells is induced by contacting human neural stem cells with a culture medium containing valproic acid and bFGF.
