METHOD FOR RESTRICTING USE OF HARMFUL MULTIMEDIA FILE

A method for restricting use of harmful moving picture files is provided to block the use quickly when a user wants to use the file corresponding to the harmful moving picture file, and enable the user to use the file quickly without excessive delay for verifying a harmless moving picture file when the user wants to use the file corresponding to the harmless moving picture file. A harmful moving picture database is constructed by verifying harmfulness of the moving picture files collected in the Internet, and extracting an ID and metadata for discriminating a harmful moving picture file(100). The harmful moving picture database is transmitted to a user PC(200). A blacklist customized to the user is formed by searching and comparing a harmful moving picture stored in the user PC with the harmful moving picture database(300). The moving picture file to be used by the user is blocked when the file selected by the user is searched from the harmful moving picture database and the blacklist, and the selected file corresponds to the harmful moving picture file(400).
