An apparatus for cleaning a pipe of a building and a method thereof are provided to reduce costs for water used for cleaning the building by recycling used water, and to provide a cleaning apparatus having an excellent cleaning effect for pipes of a building. An apparatus for cleaning a pipe of a building comprises a water collecting tub(10), an ozone generator(20), an injector(30), and a foreign material separator(40). The water collecting tub stores water from outside and filtered water without foreign materials after cleaning the building. The ozone generator dissolves ozone in water in the water collecting tub and provides water with ozone in the shape of air. The foreign material separator filters foreign materials from water running through a pipe after cleaning the building. The foreign material separator uses cyclone. The foreign material separator includes a filter(42). The water collecting tub includes an ion exchanging resin(12). Ozone is supplied to the injector in the shape of air. A sand feeder(50) is installed between the injector and the pipe of the building. The sand feeder includes an inlet, an outlet, and a housing. The inlet of the sand feeder is installed to the bottom of the sand feeder. The outlet is installed to the top of the sand feeder. Sand is stored in the housing. A meshed screen is installed to the bottom of the housing having a discharge hole at the top. The sand in the housing is discharged through a discharge hole and the outlet by ozone water and bubbles.
