A vibration preventing apparatus for a stringed instrument is provided to obtain clear sound by blocking vibration disturbing an original sound. A vibration preventing apparatus for a stringed instrument comprises a pad and a supporter. The stringed instrument includes a body(20) formed with a resonator, a neck(40) extending from the body, a head(60) placed at a front end of the neck and a string(10) having a first end fixed to the body and a second end fixed to the head. The pad is provided between the head and the front end of the neck. The pad prevents a dull sound from occurring due to an unnecessary vibration which is generated since vibration between the body and the neck is transferred into the head. The supporter receives the pad.
