CABLE TELEVISION BROADCASTING SYSTEM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to view a TV broadcast on a TV receiver 43 even in a power failure by operating an optical receiver 50 without a backup power source to output an electric signal for TV in reception-side equipment of optical transmission signals in a cable TV broadcasting system using an optical fiber cable.

SOLUTION: The optical receiver 50 is provided with a photoelectric conversion part 52 which converts an optical transmission signal received by the optical receiver 50 to electric energy. At least the optical receiver 50 out of a plurality of apparatus in the reception-side equipment 40 is operated by the electric energy obtained by the photoelectric conversion part 52.
