PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winding shaft structure of an opening/closing device which can transmit a drive force of a drive device to an end part of the winding shaft which is in a free state even when the drive device fixed to an unmovable member is arranged at an end part of the free-state side of the winding shaft. SOLUTION: The winding shaft 10 is to wind up and pay out a shutter curtain 11, being an opening/closing body. Of the two end parts of the winding shaft 10, the end part 10A on the side of an opening/closing mechanism 40 which is fixed to a bracket 37, being the unmovable member, and serves as the drive device to rotate the winding shaft 10 is in a free state without being fixed to a predetermined position. The opening/closing mechanism 40 and the end part 10A of the winding shaft 10 are connected to each other by the intermediary of universal joints 51, 61 which are connected in series in an axial direction of the winding shaft 10 to serve as two center displacement absorbing means.
