PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enhancement of an operativity and a proper image quality, in photographing, for the purpose of printing. SOLUTION: There is provided an imaging device comprising an imaging means; an image processing means for processing image data obtained by the imaging means; a communication means which can be connected to a printer via a transmission path, outputs the image data processed by the image processing means to the printer via the transmission path, and inputs attribute information relating to the printing operation of the printer via the transmission path; a control means for controlling a processing operation of the image processing means based on the attribute information obtained by the communication means; and a recording means for recording the image data processed by the image processing means, on a recording medium.
