PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-tensile power cable which is easily processed at cable terminal and excellent in light resistance. SOLUTION: The power cable has characteristics of having two protective inner and outer layers on a surface of an insulator coating a conductor and a high tensile strength material made of polyethylene naphthalate fiber is placed between these protective layers. Preferably, the high tensile strength material is made of twisted thread, impregnated with a resin which has 150°C or less of Vicat softening point and the material has 80 N or more of pullout capacity.
