PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling the load on a gas turbine engine comprising part of a gasification mixing electric power generating system which is provided with an air-separation part. SOLUTION: The variable extraction method for the control of a gas turbine includes the steps of (1) extracting compressed air which is compressed by a turbine compressor 104, (2) supplying the extracted compressed air to the air-separation part 204 and (3) changing the amount of the compressed air extracted from the turbine compressor 104 based on a required load on the gas turbine engine 100.
