VISUAL INFORMATION SOURCE PROVIDED WITH AN INCORPORATED BACKLIGHT

The invention relates to TV-sets, display units of personal computers, information screens, tables and other visual information sources. Said invention is characterised in that one or several permanent visible radiation sources which illuminate the area surrounding an information-displaying screen for a spectator but are not directed thereto are incorporated into the structural design of a visual information source. First, the incorporated backlight illuminates a room wall located behind of the information screen of the visual information source which is watched by the spectator. The inventive visual information source provided with an incorporated backlight makes it possible to reduce a negative influence produced on the spectator in a dark room by brightness jumps of the observed information by stabilising a general brightness level with the aid of the permanent visible radiation sources which illuminate the area surrounding the information-displaying screen and create viewing conditions with an extended brightness scale simultaneously received by the spectator.
