A fuel cell system is provided to comprise a heating apparatus configured to obtain a normal output quickly upon starting of a new-produced fuel cell system or a fuel cell system that starts after long-time operation suspension. A fuel cell system comprises: a fuel container(120) which stores a liquid-phase raw material fuel containing hydrogen; a water container(110) which stores water; a fuel mixer(130) which mixes the raw material fuel with the water to produce a mixed fuel; an air supply part which supplies oxygen used as an oxidant; an electricity generation part(150) which comprises an electrolyte membrane-electrode assembly(154) having an electrolyte membrane(151) interposed between an anode electrode(152) and a cathode electrode(153) and generates electricity through an electrochemical reaction that takes place by supplying the mixed fuel and the oxygen to the electrolyte membrane-electrode assembly(154); and a heating apparatus(100) which heats the water to be supplied to the electricity generation part(150). |
