<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an omnidirectional antenna capable of receiving the radio waves of an omnidirectional RF tag with a small amount of area, by forming three-dimensional loop coils arranged on two-axis planes each in X-, Y-, and Z-axis planes, and a plane loop coil arranged along one axis plane in one piece for composing one antenna block, and by selecting the loop coil on each axis plane by time sharing. <P>SOLUTION: An information reading apparatus 300 comprises the omnidirectional antenna 40; a loop coil selector 52 for selecting the loop coils on each axis plane for composing the omnidirectional antenna 40 successively; a reader or a reader/writer 100 for transmitting carrier power based on a prescribed modulation/demodulation system, and for transferring data without any contact via the antenna of an IC card; and a PC50 for controlling the loop coil selector 52 and the reader or reader/writer 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
