A method for reveal and localization of acoustic signals of leaking of underground pipelines is intended for search of places of pipeline leaking in heating, water supply and canalization networks with use of acoustic devices. The method consists in separate processing of real and imaginary components of spectra of time realization of mix of acoustic signals with noise, collection in set of cycles of measurements for those components, calculationof spectrum of collected signal and comparison of maximal spectral component to threshold level. Localization of site of leaking is performed through search of maximum of spectral component of leaking signal at fixed number of collection cycles. The method provides reliable detection and localization of acoustic signals on background of strong noise at signal/noise ratio less than 0.1.
