<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic sensor capable of protecting the vibrator of a receiving element, and transmitting ultrasonic waves reflected by a body to be detected to the receiving element efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: Ultrasonic waves that are transmitted from a transmitting element 19 and are reflected by an obstacle M are received by a receiving member 31a arranged in a bumper 52 while a receiver 31b is being exposed. The received ultrasonic waves are transferred to a vibrator 16 as solid vibration via a transfer member 21 and a wire 61, thus reducing attenuation as compared with transfer via space and transferring the vibration of ultrasonic waves to the vibrator 16 efficiently. The vibrator 16 is not exposed directly, and the transfer member 21 and the wire 61 are interposed between the receiving member 31a and the vibrator 16, thus preventing the receiving member 31a from coming into contact with the vibrator 16 for damaging the vibrator 16 even if the receiving member 31a receiving outer force is displaced to the side of the vibrator 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
