ELECTRODE, AND ELECTROCHEMICAL CELL USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode which forms an electrochemical cell improved in appearance capacity by suppressing rise of electrode resistivity in using carbon having a large surface area to prevent deterioration of a high-temperature cycle characteristic caused by the rise of the electrode resistivity; and to provide an electrochemical cell. SOLUTION: The electrode is a positive electrode 2 and/or a negative electrode 3 containing a proton conducting type compound, and is formed by adding two or more kinds of carbon materials as conduction assisting agents, at least one of which is fibrous carbon.
