PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network connecting apparatus capable of easily connecting an endoscope to a network. SOLUTION: The network connecting apparatus 2 connects the endoscope 1 to the network 10 to which a plurality of terminal devices 8 can be connected. The network connecting apparatus 2 comprises: an information receiving means for receiving endoscope information being intrinsic to the endoscope 1 from the endoscope 1; a video receiving means for receiving video information from the endoscope; an updated image storing means for updating the video information as needed and storing the updated image information; and a browsing information transmitting means for transmitting browsing information based on the endoscope information and the updated image information to the terminal device 8 which has transmitted a browsing request signal when the browsing request signal is received from one of the plurality of terminal devices 8.
