摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deterioration of a catalyst by preventing thermal loss to the catalyst. SOLUTION: This fuel supply control device comprises a temperature estimating means for estimating the temperature of the catalyst provided in an exhaust system for an internal combustion engine in accordance with the operated condition of the internal combustion engine, a means for increasing the amount of fuel to be supplied to the internal combustion engine when the estimated temperature is higher than a reference value, and a calculating means for giving moderating computation to a difference between a current value for the estimated temperature and a previous value to find the change amount of the temperature. The reference value is smaller as the change amount is greater, and the moderating coefficient of the moderating computation is changed depending on a degree of change of the estimated temperature. Even in the condition that an error between an actual catalyst temperature and an estimated catalyst temperature is greater, an increase in the amount of fuel can be started for properly preventing thermal loss to the catalyst, thereby suppressing the deterioration of the catalyst.
