<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform program trace of a microcomputer without deteriorating execution time of an instruction code. <P>SOLUTION: A program trace device has; a plurality of instruction units 104; and an instruction decoder 103 which transfers the instruction code of a program to an instruction register 102 and selects an instruction unit corresponding to the instruction code. It has; a status register 111 which stores a status flag which sets whether exception is to be generated or not for every instruction unit; a status update section 110 which updates the status flag according to a setting code which sets the status of the status flag described in a program; an exception generation section 151 which is prepared for every instruction unit and checks the status flag corresponding to the instruction unit when the instruction unit is selected and generates an exception when the status flag is on, and monitors whether the exception occurs or not, and writes a value of a program counter into a data storage area 12 when the exception occurs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
