Method and system for support of a function call via a user interface

The method involves determining a function call triggered by a user. A checking is made whether an object is selected for an application of the function. Information about a missing selection of an object is provided, when the results of the selection checking indicate no object is selected. Another checking is made whether the selected object is suitable for the application of the function when the results indicate an object is selected. Information about the selection of an unsuitable selected object is provided when suitability checking indicates the selected object is unsuitable. An independent claim is also included for a computer program for a system that supports a function call and a user interface.
