<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite retardation plate constituted by stacking a retardation plate made of a coating layer including an organic decorative clay composite on a retardation plate formed of a resin film, pressure-sensitive adhesive strength of the composite retardation plate suck on a liquid crystal cell being held high. <P>SOLUTION: A retardation plate 13 with a pressure-sensitive adhesive is prepared which has a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 12 formed on a surface of the first retardation plate 11 formed of the resin film. Separately, an organic decorative clay composite which contains ≤2,000 ppm. chlorine and binder resin are incorporated in an organic solvent and coating liquid of 0.15 to 0.35 weight% in moisture content measured by a Karl Fischer moisture meter is applied onto a transfer base material 20 and dried to form a second retardation plate 21. An exposed surface of the second retardation plate 21 is stuck on the side of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 12 of the retardation plate 13 with the pressure-sensitive adhesive to obtain a semifinished article 16. Then the transfer base material 20 is peeled off the second retardation plate 21 and a second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 22 is formed on the peeled surface of the second retardation plate 21 to obtain the composite retardation plate 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
