<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a much more simply configured input device and input method. <P>SOLUTION: When a control part 30 of a music reproduction robot device 1 recognizes that a left side wheel 3 and a right side wheel 4 have been rotated by an external force based on the detection result of a rotation detection sensor 43 for a left side wheel and a rotation detection sensor 45 for a right side wheel for detecting the rotation of a left side wheel 3 and a right side wheel 4 for driving, the rotation is accepted as an input, and the input is converted into a prescribed instruction so that the left side wheel 3 and the right side wheel 4 can be used for both driving and input.
