<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission apparatus and communication system in which a degree of freedom can be given to the layout of light sources. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission apparatus 100 is provided for transmitting information to a reception apparatus 200 by means of visible light emitted from a plurality of LEDs 110. The apparatus includes a user data LED 110 for transmitting user data; a pilot signal LED 110 for transmitting a pilot signal; and a control signal LED 110 for transmitting notification information required for receiving user data in the reception apparatus 200, at a position determined in accordance with the position of the pilot signal LED 110. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
