The method for three-dimensional form surveying involves the use of a matrix-camera that is a colour matrix-camera (32, 34) with first, second and third pixels where the characteristic of the wave-length region of the first pixel is established relative to the second and third pixels with two first position coordinates (Y and Z coordinates). The matrix camera may use radiation with red pixels where the first pixels have a wave-length region of around 635 nanometres and may also use other pixels that may be green.
