PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a shock caused by the collision between an injection heating cylinder and a piston rod connected with an injection plunger by a shock absorbing means interposed therebetween in a metal molding machine. SOLUTION: In the injection device for a metal molding machine equipped with: an injection heating cylinder; an injection cylinder located in the rear of the injection heating cylinder with intervals; an injection plunger inserted from the heel into the injection heating cylinder; and a piston rod in the injection cylinder whose tip is connected with the injection plunger, the injection plunger is connected to the tip of the piston rod. Either the tip of the piston rod or the heel of the injection heating cylinder is provided with a shock absorbing means.
