PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher by which a washing efficiency can be enhanced by properly shifting water supply to a washing nozzle. SOLUTION: The dishwasher has a water dividing means 17 shifting washing nozzles 8 supplied with washing water, the valve body 23 of the water dividing means 17 is provided with an elastomer 25 in the closed portion of flowing out portions 20 and has engaging portions 27, 28 turning the valve body 23 with moving back and forth relative to the flowing out portions 20. The engaging portions 27, 28 are provided with a vertical portion 41 turning responding to accessing displacement of the valve body 23 to the flowing out portion 20 side and directly moving the valve body 23 to the flowing out portion 20 side in the back end side of the engaging portions 27, 28 relative to the turning direction, an elastic face can be vertically brought into contact with the closed portion, thereby water leakage to areas other than the water flowing out portions 20 supplied with the washing water is eliminated, the washing water can be effectively discharged.
