A voice announcement method in a remote controller is provided to inform a user of menu information through a voice when displaying a menu selecting operation of the remote controller on a screen, thereby enabling the user to easily changing the setting of an electronic device without seeing the screen. A voice announcement method in a remote controller comprises the following steps of: reading a key code value for displaying a main setting screen when an arbitrary menu key signal is applied, and transmitting the key code value to an electronic device(S200,S202); analyzing menu location corresponding to a navigation key, and loading voice informing information corresponding to the menu key signal if no navigation key is inputted for a preset time(S204,S208); and outputting a voice signal, corresponding to the voice informing information, to the outside of the remote controller(S212). |
