DESIGN SUPPORT DEVICE, DESIGN SUPPORT METHOD, AND DESIGN SUPPORT PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design support device capable of improving productivity, a design support method, and a design support program.

SOLUTION: The design support device for forming a welt part on an arbitrary three-dimensional model is provided with a welt forming means which moves a spherical tool on the three-dimensional model to form a welt part so that the welt part is linearly processed. It is preferable that the design support device is provided with a CAM data generation means which generates such CAM data that the welt part is linearly processed on the basis of a curved surface shape of the welt part formed by the welt forming means. The design support device includes the welt forming means for moving the spherical tool on the three-dimensional model to form the welt part and a locus data generation means for generating locus data of the spherical tool when moving the spherical tool. It is preferable that the design support device is provided with a CAM data generation means which generates such CAM data that the welt part is linearly processed on the basis of the locus data generated by the locus data generation means.
