<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a more real moving image by detecting three-dimensional operations of a traveling object such as a human being, and properly reflecting detection contents on the operation of an image such as a character on a display while including time information relating to the operation as the case may be. <P>SOLUTION: An object site extracting part 22 extracts image data of the face and hand of a human body 1 for each of two image data D1 and D2 obtained by a multi-line optical sensor 11. An object node extracting part 23 extracts nodes of the tip of the nose and fist as featured points of the face and hand from the image data, and a calculation part 24 calculates distances from all the nodes to the sensor 11. A calculation part 25 calculates a distance from the sensor 11 to the nose, its distance to the fist and their difference distances, and acquires distance time data by associating the detection time with the difference distance, and calculates data of the moving distance, moving time and moving direction of the fist by comparing the data in different time with each other.
