The exhaust gas flowback prevention device (1) prevents a flowback of the exhaust gas in a fan-assisted heating apparatus. The device is placed in the induction path of the fan (7) of the heating apparatus, and includes a diagonal surface (20) with an aperture (21) and a sealing element (5). The sealing element is connected in the upper region to the diagonal surface, and rests on the edge of the aperture at the bottom.
