<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monodisperse spherical carbon porous body which is spherical, monodisperse and has radially-formed fine pores, and also to provide another monodisperse spherical carbon porous body in which noble metal particulates are supported and/or nitrogen is doped inside the above fine pores. <P>SOLUTION: The monodisperse spherical carbon porous body comprises a spherical carbon particulate having fine pores extending radially from its center to its surface, and has a monodisperse degree of ≤10%. Inside the carbon particulate, a noble metal particulate may be supported, or nitrogen may be doped. Such a monodisperse spherical carbon porous body is obtained by allowing a spherical monodisperse mesoporous silica with the radially-formed fine pores to adsorb an organic material being a carbon source, polymerizing and carbonizing the organic material, and then removing the mesoporous silica. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
