PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous fired material wherein silver colloid is suitably deposited and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the porous fired material wherein powdery coal and clay are kneaded, fired and crushed to a particle size of 1-5μm, the porous fired material carrying silver colloid is obtained by spraying distilled water containing 100-200 ppm silver colloid having a size of 1-6 nm to the crushed porous fired material and stirring the material and drying the material at 60-120°C.
