Disclosed is the use of an adenosine derivative compound of formula (I), wherein: K is N, NàO or CH; Q is CH2 or O; R6 is H, alkyl, allyl, 2 methylallyl, 2-butenyl, or cycloalkyl; X is of formula (II) or formula (II) Y is H, alkyl, aralkyl, substituted aralkyl, aryl, substituted aryl, heterocyclyl, substituted heterocyclyl, heterocyclylalkyl or substituted heterocyclylalkyl; and A, B, E, T, n and p are as described; for producing a medicine for the treatment of insulin resistance syndrome and diabetes.
