PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the wiring length of a fluorescent lamp and to improve starting property of a fluorescent lamp even when an inverter is disposed in a keyboard side of an information processing device. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal module is provided to be used for an open-and-closing type liquid crystal display apparatus having a display unit and a keyboard unit. A liquid crystal module having a liquid crystal display panel PNL, a light guide GLB to irradiate the liquid crystal display element PNL with light, and a cold cathode fluorescent lamp LP disposed near one end face of the light guide GLB is disposed in the display unit side. The cold cathode fluorescent lamp LP is disposed in a longer side of the light guide GLB and below the display unit. A lamp cable LPC1 in a ground side of the cold cathode fluorescent lamp LP and a lamp cable LPC2 in a high voltage side are lead from a lower right side of the liquid crystal module so that the lamp can be connected, in an upper right side of the keyboard unit, to an inverter IV to drive the cold cathode fluorescent lamp LP, the inverter disposed in the keyboard side.
