<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of a terminal equipment due to power supply trouble in advance. <P>SOLUTION: A monitoring program 14 for monitoring a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) manager 7 operates independently. According to the arrangement, if the UPS manager 7 has hung up by any chance and a power supply monitor operation becomes impossible, the monitoring program 14 reboots the UPS manager 7 by a reboot command 16. If the power supply monitor operation cannot be restored by the rebooting, the monitoring program 14 outputs a shutdown instruction 9 to an OS 8, in place of the UPS manager 7.
