PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a precipitation-hardening type copper alloy, which includes a heat treatment step for precipitating fine precipitates by a different process from conventional multi-stage aging treatment; the precipitation hardening type copper alloy manufactured with the above method; and an elongated copper product. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the precipitation-hardening type copper alloy includes the heat treatment step for multi-stage-ageing a solution-treated precipitation-hardening type copper alloy at temperatures from low to high, while skipping the step of promoting the precipitation of the precipitates.
