摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microchannel device and a plasma separation system using it capable of separating plasma from a whole blood sample simply with high efficiency, and analyzing instantly the plasma after separation, and enabling a safe work even in the case of an infectious sample. SOLUTION: A separation part wherein a sample channel 1 for circulating a blood sample and a plasma recovery channel 2 for recovering the separated plasma are disposed on a substrate and the channel 1 and the channel 2 are arranged in parallel across a partition wall 4 is provided with a plurality of bridging channels 5 for separation enabling transfer separation of the plasma from the channel 1 to the channel 2 through a lack of the partition wall. The depth of each channel 5 is below 2μm, and the sectional area S<SB>C</SB>of a section thereof orthogonal to the flow direction is in the range of the 0.01-0.5 time of the sectional area S<SB>A</SB>of a section orthogonal to the flow direction in the channel 1, and the ratio S<SB>A</SB>/S<SB>B</SB>of the sectional area between each section of the sample channel 1 and the plasma recovery channel 2 orthogonal to the flow direction is in the range of 1-1/50.
