Mixing valve

The water mixing valve has a body [1] with a centre bore in which a control spool [3] is located. The spool has two control surfaces that relate to valve seats in the body and regulate the amounts of hot [10] and cold water [11] that mix to produce an output [12] dependent upon a thermostat element [4]. The spool assembly is installed axially and is retained by elastomer insert [7] with an internal spring ring [8].
