PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver capable of acquiring the optimum reception direction by performing high accurate direction search processing for an antenna switching a reception direction and a gain. SOLUTION: The gain of an antenna is switched for each processing of steps S11-S14, and all the reception direction of the antenna are designated in each gain, and reception information is acquired corresponding to each designated direction. The direction having the best reception state determined from the reception information acquired by a combination of the gain and reception direction is decided as a reception direction.
